
After picking a ton of strawberries a week and a half ago, I put the word out on twitter asking what I should do with them. My gardening is going grandly. In fact, I grew everything in this salad except the dressing. One of the greatest things about growing your own vegetables is that you can eat nearly every part of the plant. I don’t remember where I first heard the idea of pickling asparagus, but as soon as I did I had to try it for myself. I love almost anything pickled and I love asparagus, so it just seemed right. Summer is here! We’ve been going back and forth between sunny days and crazy stormy ones. But on the sunny ones, I’ve been dying to make my own mojitos with the plethora of mint in my backyard.
